U Rent-a-Guru service fees:
$78 hourly labor rate - for U of M students, faculty, staff, departments, alumni, and non-affiliates. Most of the U Rent-a-Guru support services are charged based upon the amount of time a technician/consultant works on your computer, with the exceptions listed below. The minimum charge is 1/2 hour labor rate ($39).

In a hurry?
$75 Expedite Fee
- For an additional $75, U Rent-a-Guru offers an Expedite service for those who find themselves in a "time crunch". The expedite service moves them to the front of this list. U Rent-a-Guru technicians will troubleshoot your computer within 4 working hours.
Carry-in service - Bring your computer desktop and faulty computer CPU and/or other troublesome equipment. If you have a laptop, bring the power adapter as well. The carry-in service is more economical and the turnaround time is faster.
U Rent-a-Guru payment options:
U Rent-a-Guru accepts credit cards (Discover, MasterCard or Visa). UCS can also bill a current U or M student account or a departmental EFS # from eligible faculty/staff. We do not accept cash or checks.
