Oracle has finished with the Site Studio component and it has been through QA and approved. However, the Site Studio component is dependent on an updated to the Content Server and that update has not gone through QA yet. When the Content Server update has passed QA, then the editor update should be released. I have talked with both Alan Baer and Tim Bergeson (our sales rep) and Alan has a regularly scheduled meeting with their development group tomorrow to get a status of the editor update. They will provide an updated timeline after that meeting. Additionally, Oracle is sending us the finished Site Studio component and the Content Server update as is. OIT will be testing this internally and working on updating training materials.
The plan is that when the editor is released, it will take us up to one week to release the editor on TEST and based on OIT and unit testing results, hopefully install the editor on PROD within 1 to 2 weeks after installing the editor on TEST. Based on today's date, I would expect that the editor will not be up on PROD until March at the earliest. Again, that date is dependent on the release date from Oracle.
OIT will update the UMContent-users list when we have an updated timeline from Oracle and also when we have received the editor. We are checking Oracle's metalink site a couple times a day for the updated release.
