Video Conferencing
You may use your computer to conduct a meeting or give a presentation via the Internet using
UMConnect. UMConnect (formerly Breeze) includes collaborative features such as screen sharing, whiteboard, webcam view, and text and voice chat.
We also provide
interactive television (ITV) video conferencing connectivity to and from all the University campuses: Twin Cities, Crookston, Duluth, Morris, and Rochester. Data lines provide two-way video and audio links to specially equipped rooms so instructors and students or meeting facilitators and participants can both hear and see each other.
Video Streaming
1-HELP provides both live and on-demand
video streaming or web casting distribution services. Streaming feeds are available in both Quicktime and RealVideo formats. These video streams can either be embedded within a Web page or be a standalone window on the user's computer.
Satellite Services
We can provide reliable
satellite uplink and downlink services. Our uplink services include video teleconference broadcast links from campus locations. Our video production staff and other campus production groups collaborate to provide technical support for video links to satellite uplink vendors. In addition, 1-HELP can downlink C Band analog programs distributed via satellite and can either route the signal via campus cable to appropriately equipped sites on campus or provide a VHS or S-VHS video tape of the downlinked program.
Professional Video Production Services
We offer fee-based
video production services to on- and off-campus customers. These services cover all phases of production, from planning to post production.
Video Tape Duplication
1-HELP offers
high-quality duplication services for most videotape formats, using time-based correction to deliver the best quality. We can also convert your video to or from international standards such as PAL, SECAM and NTSC.
